Sugars at the Bottom Of The CupThe Sugar’s at the Bottom of the Cup

This first-person account of the life of Elda Del Bino Willitts reveals delightful details and insights about living in Northern California throughout most of the 20th century. Elda, an Italian-American immigrant, traveled steerage on a steamship to the US in 1916 at the age of seven. Her family settled in San Francisco when it still had gas street lights and cattle in Cow Hollow. Her loving heart, diverse experiences, spiritual faith and positive outlook sustained her through adversities, including multiple bouts with cancer.
